E2E Netcool/Impact Performance
The Abilisoft MTM for Impact solution includes a simple
Impact policy that enables Abilisoft MTM to measure the
real time performance of your Impact environment.
Once the policy has been loaded on to your Impact Server,
Abilisoft MTM will inject events into your Netcool®
environment. These events are collected by the Impact
Server, and processed by the Abilisoft policy. The time
taken for the Impact Server to process the event is
established by Abilisoft MTM looking at the event in the
Netcool® environment after it has been processed by Impact.
Performing this test against your Impact environment
enables you to demonstrate that your Impact Servers are
performing to acceptable standards. The Abilisoft MTM
solution also regularly collects other statistics related
to the Impact Server to provide you with a full
understanding of the amount of work that your Impact Server
is performing, and to understand when an individual Impact
Server is nearing maximum throughput capacity. These tests
include monitoring the size of the Event Reader queue, and
measuring how long the Impact Server spends retrieving
event data from ObjectServer components.
