When certain things happen in your environment, you need to know straight away. Abilisoft lets you know by raising an Alert, and displaying it within the user interface. The Alert tells you what has happened, the affected component and the time of the Alert. An Alert can be triggered by many different types of conditions being met; a component changing State, a threshold being breached and an application configuration file being updated are just some example. This image shows how Alerts are presented within the Abilisoft interface, as well as the Alerts Explorer panel.
For those times when you're not
at your desk, Abilisoft will tell you what's happening by
creating an Escalation for each Alert. An Escalation could
take the form of an email sent to your portable device, a
phone call, or an SNMP trap for loading into existing
management tools. If any of your existing tools, such as a
trouble ticketing system or an instant messaging bus have
an API, Abilisoft will utilise that API for its
Escalations.
The Alerts dashboard view presents you with a view of all
of the current Alerts, and any associated Escalations.
Summary data showing you how many alerts have been
acknowledged, and the distribution of Alert severity is
also included.
